Stop 8: Sanger, TX

We've finally figured out how to delete locations from our AccuWeather phone application. All last night, we were woken up by alarms related to our previous stop, Amarillo. The area around Vernon had some flash flood warnings but nothing that was significant enough to trigger a phone alert.

This morning, we were expecting some heavy rain, right at the time when we'd be packing up to move. We got started a little early and set out just as it was starting to rain. Most of our trip was rain free but it did start to come down about 20 miles before we arrived. Fortunately, it stopped while we got set up.

This campground has apparently had a lot of rain very recently. The first site that we were assigned to had all of the hookups (water, power, cable, sewer) in the middle of a small pond. We looked around and found 3 that were dry. 2 were already reserved so we had ourselves moved to the 3rd.

Kristen would consider me remiss if I didn't mention the silos that we passed along the way today that had obviously been torn to shreds by a tornado.
